DIVERSITY, EQUITY & INCLUSION COMMITTEE

 

PURPOSE
The primary purpose of the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee is to elevate and advance the understanding of diversity and inclusion throughout LifeSpan Resources, both internally and externally. The Committee includes a group of passionate and dedicated employees interested in ensuring the organization employs an equitable focus throughout the organization to ensure a comprehensive culture.

 

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Working with leadership to understand and implement the DEI strategy, initiatives and challenges.
  • Participate in the DEI Committee to help form, implement and steer diversity awareness with employees and clients of LifeSpan Resources.
  • Serve as DEI champions.
  • Enlist support and promote participation in LifeSpan Resources’ DEI-related initiatives.
  • Identify community-related opportunities for LifeSpan Resources to engage and support as it relates to the DEI purpose and initiatives
  • Participate in meetings, as scheduled, to discuss DEI initiatives and develop best practices.

VISION STATEMENT
LifeSpan Resources’ Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee is devoted to fostering and maintaining a work environment that is considerate and respectful of all individuals. The Committee will coordinate opportunities for understanding through training initiatives, policy development, hiring initiatives, employee recognition, and team activities. We are also committed to an equitable and inclusive relationship with the community and those we serve. We strive to understand diverse cultures and reach out to marginalized communities to ensure equitable resources are available for all people regardless of ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, or identity.
