June 2-6, 2025

Seniors start your engines and get ready for a full week of competition, games and camaraderie! The 39th Annual LifeSpan Resources’ Senior Games is here and will be held Monday, June 2 – Friday, June 6, 2025, and you don’t want to miss it! This year’s theme is Seniors in the Fast Lane! So break out your best Indy 500 apparel and get ready to play some games!

The fun will begin on Monday, June 2 and will run until the Closing Ceremonies on Friday, June 6. There are several events to choose from: Dance Contest, Bowling, Mini Golf, Basketball Toss, Toss ‘Em, Lap Walks, Horseshoes, and Cards and Games. Gold, silver, and bronze medals are given for each event. Trophies for most medals won by age group, the oldest male and female participant, and the King and Queen of Senior Games are awarded at the Closing Ceremonies.

One low registration fee of $20 covers all events, lunches and a t-shirt. T-shirts will be available for pick-up from May 22 – May 29 at LifeSpan Resources’ office: 33 State St. (3rd floor YMCA building), New Albany.

Please feel free to contact Melissa Richardson at 812-206-7960 or mrichardson@lsr14.org if you have any questions. We are super excited for LifeSpan Resources’ Senior Games and to see you all again! Be sure to tell your friends!

*Does not count toward King or Queen.

As a reminder about how the King & Queen are typically decided: At least 3 individuals of the same age/sex group must compete in an event in order for the medals to count toward the King or Queen title. Medals will count towards the “Most Medals” title. If there is a tie in # of medals, points determine the winner (Bronze 1, Silver 2, Gold 3).

Join The Senior Games SQUAD , Today!

Are you looking for fun, friendship and maybe a little competition year-round? Do you want to keep the spirit of Senior Games going year-round? Become a member of the Senior Games SQUAD, and you can do it all! The SQUAD is a membership program for area adults age 55+. SQUAD members develop new friendships, enjoy six members-only events and a special holiday service project during the year, and some even develop a little “romance!” (Yes, we’ve had SQUAD marriages over the years!)

Membership includes free registration for the week-long annual Senior Games. Most importantly, SQUAD membership dues serve as donations to LifeSpan’s mission of Promoting Independent Living for People of All Ages. Donations help provide services such as Meals to Go!, Transportation, Care Management, Options Counseling and numerous other in-home supports and services.

Interested in joining? Download the Membership Application (PDF) and join today!
